Kostas Murkudis - Autumn WInter 09/10: VITREOUS - preciousness in glass sphere

Nun endlich halte ich das wunderbar umgesetzte Winter 09 Lookbook von Kostas Murkudis in den Händen un bin entzückt: Zum Einen über die Umsetzung (Making Of von Thousand Faces) und zum Anderen über Materialmixe, Silhouetten und Schnitte.

Kostas hierzu:

The unusual combination and layering of the fabrics were the initial point for developing and frame this collection.

While the mens wear still shows classic styles like tailored two and three buttoned suits, parkas, blousons, crombie coats, trench coats and denims, the womens wear uses the fabric more to create and drape new shapes.

The neoprene creates a new picture of frilled garments. The unique fabric use gives them a very modern feminin and clean romanticism.
The zebra pattern patched plastic and silk appoint a delicate layering and lucent ellegance with easy shaped sillhouettes.
It is all a mixture of strong clearness but with a solid playful sensitivity.
